As the World Catfish Classic enters its second year we are delighted with the positive response we received following the inaugural event. It was tremendous to have had such a great competition last year which was so close right up until the last hour. The process of the cleanup of the river banks and the hard work put in by the team to clear 25 tonnes of rubbish by hand is something that I will personally always be very proud of and thanks go out to the team again. The 2012 event is looking very exciting, with more competitors and access to more sections of the river. Berkley are the title sponsor for the 2nd year running and catfish tackle specialists Black Cat join the impressive sponsorship team. We have introduced a few new elements to fine tune the event, which is certain to live up to its name as being a Classic. I am looking forward to seeing everybody in Spain on the mighty Ebro.
