Those who were in Chiprana with us last year will no doubt have enjoyed the football match that took
place between the Chiprana Youth team and the Catfish All-Stars. Some may also recall how Event Founder, Ross Honey, was taken out above the knee by one of the opposition (aged about ten). Ross certainly remembers it well and still bears the mental and physical scars to remind him. That aside, and forgetting how everyone laughed except poor Ross, the game was greatly enjoyable for the players and crowd alike.
Shockingly, nobody can quite remember the final score… some say it was a Catfish All-Stars defeat, surely not? There were certainly plenty of great goals scored along the way and whatever the result, we hope that you will give your full support to the Catfish All-Stars once again this year. We would like to put out a strong team this year, so if you fancy taking part in the match please let us know by e-mail. If you haven’t seen this news item and you are only reading this now, at the event, please ask when you register, failing that just turn up on the night and see if there’s a kit left for you! As you can see from the photos, the Catfish All-Stars kit looks really smart and if you can bring your own boots, all the better.
