Welcome to World Catfish Classic

Welcome to the official website of the World Catfish Classic. After 12 years of successfully running the World Carp Classic it is with great pride that we are launching the first ever World Catfish tournament. Spain has won the right to host the event and the magnificent River Ebro will be the venue. The event will be based in the Chiprana section of the river which is well known for both its high numbers and size of Catfish. The event's title sponsor will be Berkley who are part of the Pure fishing group, and Pascal Grillot the European Marketing director and his team were on site at the launch to celebrate this milestone, along with the mayor of Chiprana and a host of media and officials. The event will be catch and release with best practice angling and fish welfare being observed at all times. The very best Catfish anglers from all over the world will be competing to make history and be the first to have their names on the tremendous perpetual trophy.
